Charity grew up longing for adventure, and found that the best way to find it was to escape into a story. When she was young, she wanted to be Indiana Jones when she grew up - travelling to distant lands, finding forgotten artifacts, and always escaping danger.
In high school, she dreamed of being a National Geographic photojournalist. And in college, she studied English and marine archaeology at Texas A&M University, Galveston campus. Life brought Charity back to the desert, where she continues to plan for the day she can return to the ocean.
In late 2019, Charity heard God calling her to begin a group for writers at her church. After some internal wrestling with God, she gave in and Ready Writers, Psalm 45:1 was launched in Tucson, Arizona. The group grew, and in 2023 it became apparent that the writers would benefit from joining a larger, organized group. The group joined Word Weavers International, and became a local chapter known as Word Weavers Southeast Arizona.
In 2024, there was a calling for writers in Cochise County to get together once a month to write and encourage each other. Ready Writers was re-launched in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Charity continues writing her debut novel, with plans to publish in 2025!
